FAQ

What is RPL?

RPL means Recognition of Prior Learning. Students may be able to shorten the length of their studies through the recognition of past qualifications gained elsewhere. Call or email us to see if you qualify.

Are there any pre-requisites for Aged Care Training?

  • The minimum age for eligible applicants is 15 years.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in literacy and numeracy is required to undertake this course.
  • All applicants must be willing to undertake a Criminal History Check, a Blue Card and an NDIS Workers Screening clearance. There is no cost for this.
  • All applicants must have evidence of a recent Influenza vaccination and must be fully vaccinated against COVID.

Do I have to find my own work placement?

AMC Training will arrange vocational placement for all students in the Redlands plus any other students enrolled in our class-based courses.
Students enrolled in distance education (that cannot attend vocational placement in the Redlands) will need to source their own vocational placement (with assistance from AMC).

Is this course the qualification as TAFE?

Yes, this is the same Nationally Accredited qualification and enables you to work anywhere in Australia. Using approved accelerated learning techniques we are able to complete the course in a much shorter timeframe.
